Dr. Dennis C. Hammond is pleased to announce Masters in Breast Surgery III: Management of Complications in Aesthetic Breast Surgery (MBS III). This third installment of the Masters in Breast Surgery series will take place this coming November 9-10, 2019 in New York City at the New York Marriott Downtown in Lower Manhattan.
MBS III will be chaired by Dr. Hammond and will feature Drs. Jack Fisher, Pat Maxwell, and Lou Strock as expert panelists. The format will include introductory didactic presentations by these four recognized experts in plastic surgery of the breast followed by a panel discussion where cases will be chosen to highlight common complications seen in aesthetic breast surgery. This unique format allows true experts in the field enough time to provide detailed education on each of the chosen topics with the presentation of the clinical cases then highlighting the real world application of these principles.
The combination of a limited expert faculty combined with a case discussion format will create an effective and practical educational experience that will pass along pearls that every attendee will be able to take home to their individual practices. Topics to be discussed include management of capsular contracture, ALCL, implant malposition, double bubble, recurrent ptosis, breast asymmetry, congenital breast deformities, augmentation mastopexy, planning and complications after breast augmentation and bottoming out after breast reduction. Concepts regarding the anatomy and significance of the inframammary fold, the use of irrigants in implant related surgery, and the use of ADMs will also be discussed.
Educational materials will include a course book complete with the presented cases along with the surgical solutions. As well, a flash drive with selected surgical videos will be included. An exhibitor area will be featured along with breakfast, lunch, and breaks provided during the meeting.
MBS III is being jointly provided by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons® and has been designated for a maximum of 11.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Of the 11.5 credits, 7 credits have been identified as applicable to patient safety.
This meeting promises to be the highlight meeting of the year for the serious student of aesthetic breast surgery. Space is limited and it is expected that the available seating will be sold out. Early registration is encouraged to avoid missing out on this outstanding educational event. We look forward to seeing you in New York!
